Geely Auto expects fast growth in exports

Geely, China’s largest privately-owned auto company, expects its growth in overseas markets to accelerate over the next three to five years. Currently, about 20% of Geely car sales come from outside of China.  The company plans to increase the share of exports to 30%-40% over the next few years.

Geely expects to sell about 100,000 cars in overseas markets this year, a growth of more than 250% compared to 2011. The company plans to build production and assembly plants in target countries.
